yULIYA'S STORY
Yuliya began her journey in dancing with ballroom dances, later on with salsa and tango but she finally found her passion in bellydance when she met her first formal teacher– Neviana in 2009. It was her that inspired Yuliya to continue learning, practicing and growing as a dancer in the years to come. In 2012 Yuliya moved to France for her studies and joined the Nourdance company where she performed as a soloist and group dancer. She is now part of Kazafy troupe France since 2017 and has performed in the European tours Fantasm 1001 nights with Bellydance Evolution in 2017 and Jungle Book premiere in 2020. She keeps studying and participating in competitions and festivals in France and internationally as a soloist and in a group. Performed in various ephemeral troupe projects along artist like Sharon Kihara, Mercedes Nieto and Mohamed Shahin. Yuliya teaches oriental dance in Paris to groups of various levels. She is a passionate dance artist constantly looking for new ways to learn, to grow to improve. She studies regularly with various artist in France and abroad and extends her curiosity to theater, ballet and other disciplines to enrich her skills as an artist in various ways. She wishes to be able to give her contribution to bringing oriental dance to the world art stage and get it reach a wider global audience with the deserved respect it lacks today.
